Julia Furtner-Srajer is an assistant professor at the Department of Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at the Medical University Vienna, Division of Neuroradiology. She obtained her PhD at the doctoral program “Clinical Neurosciences” at the Medical University Vienna. In the course of her PhD thesis she has done considerable pioneering work in the field of advanced brain tumor imaging with the main focus on perfusion imaging using Arterial Spin Labeling.

During her research stay at the Eberhard-Karl-University in Tübingen, Germany Julia Furtner-Srajer was able to acquire  highly multidisciplinary experience in advanced multimodal tumor imaging including clinical and scientific applications of PET-MR Imaging.

Julia Furtner-Srajer has authored 39 papers, 1 book chapter and is recognized as an invited lecturer in national and international conferences. She is a board member of the Imaging Committee and the Meningioma Committee of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) as well as the Comprehensive Cancer Center - Central Nervous System Brain Tumor Group at the Medical University of Vienna.
